Summer 2022 Horse Camp
Back for 2022 Super Summer!

Give your child an unforgettable experience during the summer break. This is an amazing experience for your child in a educational, horse-filled environment. Weeks are themed individually & are not cumulative. Our goal is to effectively educate your children (ages 6 & up) about horses! WCM summer camp is here to suit your needs & schedule!

Due to COVID-19, we continue to have precautions in place. Masks are optional. Everyone's best interests and care are our top priority, and we have taken many extra steps to maintain the disinfection standards possible.

West Coast Morgans (WCM) follows recommendations by the CDC and local government. From the onset of quarantine, we immediately instituted rules to minimize foot traffic and keep clients outside and far away from others. WCM continues to monitor health guidelines and maintain the highest in standards, even with the loosening of restrictions.  WCM is proud to offer large expanses of open areas, and we are equipped and staffed to make summer fun and as protected as possible!

 Social Distancing:

• Our Horse Camp class sizes will be limited to 15 campers at the farm at any time.
• Campers will be in expansive fresh air common areas, and masks are optional when inside barn common areas, in horses' stalls, and indoor classroom environment. 
• WCM has a large covered arena, and many covered areas under which to stay cool and shaded out of the sun, as well as open air areas.
• Campers will be checked in and escorted to drop their belongings in assigned area, and then start the camp day. 
• At pick-up, parents will arrive, staff will escorted guests to far end of the facility. Guests may walk down the aisle if maintaining social distance.
  
• If a camper is not feeling well, they must stay home and the camp day will be rescheduled.
  
• Family members are permitted to watch ringside.

 Health and Sanitation:

• Our facility is sprayed and disinfected overhead 8-10x a day, with additional sanitizing of commonly handled areas during the day.
• Disinfection protocols were instituted by WCM Staff Registered Nurse.
• Bathroom is sanitized before after each use.
• All campers will need to bring his/her own lunch, snack, change of clothes for water play, sunscreen. 
• OPTIONAL: Campers may bring his/her own mask for use in close proximity to others when indoors. We will supply generic masks when necessary.
• Staff and campers that are not feeling well, will be excused from coming to WCM, and rescheduled accordingly. 
• Disinfection protocols include commercial hand sanitizer and alcohol-based sprays to hospital-grade disinfectants. 

Tips for parents:

• Send your child with a backpack with all camp necessities and personal hand sanitizer. 
• Send your child in riding attire, and full day campers with a change of clothes for water play. Water play activities adhere to social distancing guidelines.
• Teach your child how to wash hands well with soap for 30 seconds (sing “Happy Birthday” song).
